Meet Rukiya 

I stay inspired by faith and hope. I am all Southern. I was born a Georgia peach and raised in the Queen City, but my values are deeply rooted in a small South Carolina farm owned by my late grandparents.

I have always had a lot of words to say, to write, to read and ponder on. I love family, and people everywhere represent that for me in some form. We all belong to a family, or communities, where stories live and come alive as we share and pass down to generations to come. I live to sit at the feet of that wisdom. I never tire of listening to interesting people that grab me, but definitely have a sweet spot for seniors. My intellectual curiosity has been getting the best of me since a very early age, which I now see manifested in my legacy.

 

I am a proud Mommy-in-Chief. I learn something new every day. I collect life-long lessons and they don’t have to be mine. I find joy in experiencing life fully. I like to fight the good fight for all the right reasons. I vote because people died for me. I pray until something happens. I show up authentically…everywhere and in everything. I do me pretty well.

 

My superpower lies at the center of human connectivity and storytelling, which has helped me to manifest a rewarding life of enriched experiences, relationships and a fulfilling 23-year career that all beautifully creates a tapestry for me to share with others….
